Debate will focus on existence of Jesus

Presented by humanists groups and Fraser Valley Atheists Skeptics and humanists

“Did Jesus Exist?” will be the topic of a debate, presented by the Fraser Valley Atheists Skeptics and Humanists, along with the B.C. Humanists, on Saturday, Sept. 20.

The issue of whether Jesus Christ existed, and whether he is a historical figure or a myth, will be debated by two experts in their fields.

Dr. Richard Carrier has written a book entitled On the Historicity of Jesus, which proposes an origin of Christianity without a historical Jesus.

Michael Horner, is a philosopher who promotes and defends Christianity on university and college campuses and lectures and debates to provide arguments for the Christian faith.

The event will be held at the Abbotsford campus of UFV, from 2 p.m. to 5 p.m. in Room B101, with overflow seating available.

General admission for the event is $5 and is free for seniors and students.
