A former Nanaimo resident and Vancouver Island University student seeks donations to fund a short, independent film in Vancouver this summer.
Jeremy Szostak plans to direct Lettuce Heads, a short film that bridges the gap between documentary and drama. It follows the story of Simon, who falls in love with April, and finds his life consumed by drug addiction when she breaks up with him. The story spirals out of control until its “tragic and terrifying conclusion.”
The cast and crew won’t get paid for the project but food and transportation costs, special effects and film festival fees need to be raised. To donate to the project, or for more information, please visit www.indiegogo.com/Lhs.
