Enderby politicians are showing their creative side.
City council will work with artists from Courtyard Gallery to create artistic masterpieces, which will be auctioned off.
“We invite you to watch the councillors creating their artwork Saturday between 11:30 a.m. and 1:30 p.m.,” said Tatianna O’Donnell, with the Courtyard Gallery.
Saturday’s event takes place at the Falling Coconut at 506 Old Vernon Rd. in Enderby.
“You can view the completed work of the council artists at the Courtyard Gallery from March 25 until April 25, and to see which piece you may wish to bid on at the first-year anniversary live auction,” said O’Donnell.
To celebrate its first year, there will be an open house April 25 from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m.
At 6 p.m., walk next door to the legion, listen to live music and bid on your favourite work of art at 7 p.m.
Courtyard Gallery is located at 907 Belvedere St. in Enderby. You can lean more about the gallery at www.courtyardgallery.ca.
The Courtyard Galley is run by members of the Enderby Artists Initiative.
The Enderby Artists Initiative has been nominated for an Okanagan Arts Award in the art organization category.
The award will be given out by the Arts Council of the Central Okanagan March 22 during a ceremony at the Rotary Arts Centre in Kelowna.
“Wish the Enderby Artists Initiative luck,” said O’Donnell.
