It’ll be a Christmas from the past when Zachary Stevenson reprises his role as Buddy Holly for a Rock ’n’ Roll Christmas at the Vernon Performing Arts Centre Tuesday.
Stevenson, who played the famed Peggy Sue singer in the hit musical Buddy, will be joined by fellow legendary tribute artist Lance Lipinsky as Jerry Lee Lewis.
They’ll team up with another guaranteed show-stopper, Garry Moore as Little Richard, plus added cast members Darcy Jo Wood as Brenda Lee and Kenny Wayne as Fats Domino, together with the Legendary Memphis Beats Rock’n’Roll Band featuring “Mr. Sax” Johnny Ferreira for a special Christmas concert tour.
“The chances of seeing these exceptional performers on the same stage are about as good as seeing Bigfoot in your backyard dressed as Santa Claus on Christmas morning. To say this concert is special is a huge understatement,” reads a release about the show.
“Don’t miss this very special Yuletide event. It’s a lot of good old rock ’n’ roll with a seasonal touch.”
The Legends of Rock ‘n’ Roll Christmas takes place Tuesday, Dec. 10 at 7:30 p.m. at the Vernon Performing Arts Centre. Tickets are $43.25 at the Ticket Seller, 250-549-7469, www.ticketseller.ca.
