Bernd Ogrodnik, master puppeteer for Iceland’s National Theater will perform Metamorphosis during Revelstoke Spirit Fest. The performance is a collection of 12 short vignettes ranging from the trivial to the metaphysical. “Metamorphosis depicts constantly changing nature of our existence and our perception,” says an artists’ bio. “Nothing remains the way it seems as it does not matter what we see but how we see it. The set itself undergoes a constant transformation to make new stages for the different stories and puppet actors.”
The cast includes marionettes, rod puppets and characters made of silk scarves.
The child-friendly show is at 6 p.m. on Wednesday, February 8 at the Revelstoke Community Centre. $5.
