Formerly imprisoned bench beautified – and freed

The public was invited to paint a bench Monday in North Surrey that has been locked behind a fence.

Members of the community were invited out Monday (Oct. 17) afternoon to paint on a bench in North Surrey that has been locked behind a fence near the bus loop at 135 Street and 102 Avenue for years.

The city is planning to relocate the newly decorated bench to 108 Ave.
