The Fort Gallery is hoping to draw in local artists for a collaborative exhibit running this month.
Drawn to Draw, on from March 15 to April 2, features drawings on loose paper by artists throughout the Lower Mainland, which will be hung salon style on the gallery walls.
An opening reception will be held on Sunday, March 19 from 1 to 4 p.m., where the artists will participate in a ‘collaborative draw-in.’
Throughout the run of the exhibit there will also be a still life installation created in the centre of the gallery. Artists are encouraged to come together as a group or drop in individually to draw during gallery hours, Wednesday to Sunday, noon to 5 p.m.
All drawings done on site will be added to the salon. There will be drawing materials on hand or artists can bring their own.
Those who would like to participate must first purchase a Gallery Society Membership, which are available online:http://www.fortgallery.ca/society-membership.html or in person at the gallery, 9048 Glover Rd.
Society Memberships are $40 for the year ($25 for students and seniors).
