Music, art, and maybe a beer or two are coming together to help the Penticton and Area Access Society.
A fundraiser to benefit the society is being held on Feb. 11 at the Barking Parrot.
Doors open at 6 p.m. and the Thursday night Jazz Band starts at 7 p.m.
The event will also feature live painting by Penticton artist Jenny Long. The painting will be auctioned off in the silent auction taking place. The silent auction will feature prizes including a box suite at an upcoming Penticton Vees game as well as art, music and literature themed prizes including a David Bowie themed prize basket.
The society offers aid for those who have disabilities, helping with applications and equipment acquisition; legal advocacy, covering a range of legal issues and referring clients to pro bono lawyers or other forms of legal assistance available. The society also offers an income tax assistance program, helping those with low income maximize their tax benefits and qualify for government programs and assistance.
Tickets are available at the Prospera Credit Union, the Lakeside Resort and at the Access Society office on Martin Street.
Tickets are $25 and include a burger, beer and the live show. For more information call 250-493-6822.
