Gala taps Rod Stewart impersonator

NANAIMO – Award-winning Rod Stewart impersonator will be performing at Zonta Club of Nanaimo's 11th annual Zonta Red Gala on Feb. 7.

A renowned Rod Stewart impersonator is coming to Nanaimo and it’s all for a good cause.

Rod Stewart impersonator Kenny Holliday will be playing a handful of Rod Stewart’s classic tunes at the Zonta Club of Nanaimo’s 11th annual Zonta Red Gala on Feb. 7.

“This year we are excited to have Kenny Holliday, award-winning Rod Stewart impersonator. In the past Kenny has dazzled attendees with his performance and tickets are selling fast,” said event chairwoman Robyn Austin.

The gala, which is the club’s biggest fundraising event of the year, will be held at the Coast Bastion Inn at 6 p.m. Proceeds from the event will go toward the Heart and Stroke Foundation, as well as other local organizations that support women.

“As an example, over the past 10 years proceeds have raised $51,874 towards women’s heart health all the while raising awareness of the status of women to over 2,000 women who have attended the event,” said Austin.

Tickets are $75 and can be purchased by contacting Barb 250-758-2267 info@nanaimo-zonta.org. A $30 charitable tax receipt will be issued by the Heart and Stroke Foundation.
