Gallery 204 is celebrating Canada all year, starting off with the show Embracing B.C., featuring B.C. landscapes by two local artists, Perry Haddock and Jack Turpin.
The show is running at the Gallery, 20408 Douglas Cres., until March 30.
Haddock paints primarily in acrylic and watercolour in an impressionistic style. His paintings reveal his West Coast roots and his love of the coastal images near his home.
Turpin says his work has largely been influenced by the impressionist and realist painters of the Canadian landscape. Inspired by B.C’s beautiful environment, his work often shows nature with man’s presence in a subtle role.
