The Grim Reaper’s got a schedule to keep, but he’s running late.

When he meets Mrs. Fischer, he realizes that the stubborn senior’s will to live is a force to be reckoned with and she’s ready to put up the fight of her life.

WONDERHEADS theatre company’s production of Grim and Fischer comes to Centre Stage at Surrey City Hall (13450 104 Ave.) on Friday (March 27).

Instead of words, the characters – in full-face masks – communicate through the universal language of gestures and body language, supported by a dramatic soundtrack. The result is a blend of physical theatre, comedy and touching moments that will capture the imagination of anyone aged 10 to 110.

WONDERHEADS is a multi-award winning physical theatre company specializing in mask performance and exquisite visual storytelling for adults and children. Their work is performed in full-face mask, a wordless form that mixes European mask traditions with character mask styles.

Grim and Fischer starts at 8 p.m. Tickets are $28, available by calling 604-501-5566, visiting https://tickets.surrey.ca or at the door.
