You would think that a town full of working men would rush at the chance to see Hawksley Workman in concert this Saturday, Nov. 10 at the Tidemark Theatre.
With a cross-country tour, Workman is playing sold-out show after sold-out show and there are still tickets available here in Campbell River.
He may not be as well known as Tegan and Sara, Great Big Sea, or Jeremy Fisher, but he is the man behind the production of their albums. Songwriter, producer, multi-instrumentalist, and actor, Hawksley Workman is one of Canada’s best kept secrets – or at least, it seems, from Campbell River.
This six-time nominated, two time Juno award-winning rock star has not only worked with the before mentioned Canadian artists, but has shared the stage with the likes of David Bowie, The Cure, Randy Newman, Blue Rodeo, and even Quadra Island’s beloved, Mother Mother.
Don’t deny yourself the opportunity to be let in on the secret that is Hawksley Workman.
Also out of the bag is local Luke Blu Guthrie, who was “discovered” while playing at the Tidemark’s weekly Thursday night Lounge Series and will be opening for Workman this Saturday night.
Tickets are available at www.tidemarktheatre.com or find the Tidemark on Facebook.
