Helping hands and hearts

Matthew Loring’s partner Gloria Morgan and their daughter Grace attended a dinner and dance fundraiser held Saturday evening to raise money to assist Loring, who recently suffered a spinal cord injury. The event was a huge success, raising more than $15,000. Morgan expressed her gratitude to those who helped and says Loring’s condition is improving, although he will need care and therapy in Vancouver for a number of months. Donations can still be made through a trust fund set up at the Salmon Arm Savings and Credit Union.
