Vernon band MACE is doing its part to help a young Vernon resident undergo a life altering operation when it rocks the Elks Hall on Saturday for the band’s third annual Summer Sizzler community dance.

Proceeds from a 50/50 draw will go towards the Hope for Hayley campaign to help Vernon resident Hayley McDougall with a non B.C. Medical funded surgery to reduce her severe unremitting head pain.

Lead singer Jackson Mace taught McDougall his first year teaching at Okanagan Landing Elementary School and says “she was and is a remarkable young lady.”

Mace takes the stage from 8:30 p.m. to 12:30 a.m., with bar service from the friendly staff at the Elks, snacks, door prizes and a ton of fun!

Tickets are $12 in advance and available at The Bean Scene, or pay $15 at the door.
