Kids can explore the beautiful colours of fall during an upcoming acrylic painting class at the Campbell River Art Gallery.
Autumn Acrylic Explorations, with experienced instructor and artist Kathi Rudko, is set for four Tuesdays from 3:30 – 5 p.m., Oct. 9 to Oct. 30.
During the four sessions, students ages seven to 12 will use acrylic paints on a variety of surfaces to create fun, funky and functional art.
Topics include the exploration of composition, colour mixing and glazing. Students will paint on paper, floor mats, cloth, wood and plexiglass. All materials are provided.
Rudko is a member of the Federation of Canadian Artists and the BC Art Teachers’ Association. She has won numerous awards and shown work in many exhibits in B.C. Her subject matter is varied, but she draws inspiration mainly from her surroundings, including the ocean, forests and gardens of Campbell River and area.
The cost for the Autumn Acrylic Explorations class with Kathi Rudko is $39.60 for members of the Campbell River Art Gallery and $49.60 for non-members.
