Little aircraft, big fun in Central Saanich

Vancouver Island R/C club hosts annual airshow to raise money for local charities.

CENTRAL SAANICH — CFAX’s Santas Anonymous and the Saanich Peninsula Hospital Foundation were the big winners at the annual Largest Little Airshow in Central Saanich Aug. 8 and 9.

Put on by the Vancouver Island Radio Control Modelers, the event features some of the best model aircraft operators in the province. A by-donation event, proceeds are donated by the group to the two area charities and since its inception, the club has raised more than $230,000.
