On March 23 local author Theresa Chevalier will be receiving the Distinguished Writer Award in the Canadian category from the Writer’s International Network (WIN).
The multicultural event takes place at the Richmond Cultural Center at 10 a.m.
WIN was created by Ashok Bhargava to recognize and appreciate artists no matter their background, language, or cultural heritage.
During the ceremony artists from all over the world come to share their gifts of dance, poetry, writing, painting and sculpture.
Chevalier’s titles include the novels Shameful Innocence and Green Hell. Both take place in the early 1900s (1914 and 1930 respectively) and feature passion, excitement and adventure.
