Mindil Beach Markets are bringing their party back to Enderby on Saturday.
This five-piece rock outfit blends elements of reggae, hip-hop, funk and blues, making for a diverse night on the dance floor.
As far as resumés go, MBM’s is impressive, including opening spots for Bedouin Soundclash and Nazareth, and festival plays at Rifflandia, The Big Time Out, Tall Tree Festival, Live at Squamish and Victoria Ska Fest.
MBM include Lorenzo’s in their list of favourite venues they’ve played thus far.
“We played Lorenzo’s last June,” said keyboardist and rapper Rod Campbell. “What an amazing experience. It’s in an incredibly beautiful location, the room sounds amazing, the staff rock, and the people are not afraid to party. Last year it was the final show of our tour, and we’ve set it up that way again this year.”
MBM have joined forces with up and coming producer, Sean McLean Carrie, to record their sophomore record, to be released in October.
Mindil Beach Markets plays 8 p.m. Saturday at Lorenzo’s Cafe., 901 Mabel Lake Rd., Ashton Creek. Tickets are $10 at the door.
