Aside from the Sail Past on Wheels Parade, the new Commercial Street Bathtub Days Fair and the Bathtub Races themselves, the traditional three-days of entertainment at Maffeo Sutton Park continues this Marine Festival.
Beginning Thursday (July 21), bands from across the Island perform at the park, culminating in the fireworks display Saturday night. The three days of music also features showcases of youth performers among the adults.
The music starts at 3:30 p.m. with students from Headliners School of Performing Arts; 4:30 p.m. with Andrea Adams; 6 p.m. with Ryan McMahon and the Company Damn; 7:30 p.m. with Aidan Knight; and Emily Spiller closes out the night, beginning at 9 p.m.
Friday’s entertainment begins at noon with VestaFire, a circus arts performing group for the whole family; 1:30 p.m. with NYSA Tune In, which recently won $25,000 from the Keg restaurant; 3 p.m. with Donal Patrick; 4:30 p.m. with Jason Buie Band; 6 p.m. with Atlas Collapses; 7:30 p.m. with Maurice; and 9 p.m. with Like A Martyr.
Saturday continues at noon with VestaFire; 1:30 p.m. with a Youth Talent Showcase; 3:30 p.m. with Eric Harper; 4:30 p.m. with Lazy Mike and the Rockin’ Recliners; 6 p.m. with Pretzel Logic; 7:30 p.m. with Katzenjammers; and 9 p.m. with The Push.
