Future Picassos can dip into their palettes when Enderby’s Courtyard Gallery hosts its young artist’s exhibition in April.

“This is open to all young artists between the ages of 16 and 24,” said Courtyard gallery spokesperson Tatianna O’Donnell.

Drawings, paintings, photographs and scupltures will be accepted.

Registration forms are available at the gallery, located at 907 Belvedere St, Enderby. Work will hang from April 1 to 22. Registration deadline is March 18.

“Our fourth anniversary is in April and this year we are having a customer appreciation week,” added O’Donnell. “Between April 24 and 29, come into the gallery and put your name in for a $25 gift certificate. Names will be drawn daily, so there are many chances to get appreciated. You can also enjoy cake and refreshments. There is always something new in our space, so it’s a good time to come in and browse.”

Membership to the not-for-profit gallery, run by the Enderby Artists Initiative, is $20.

Courtyard Gallery is open Tuesday to Saturday from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. More information is at www.courtyardgallery.ca.

The Lake Country Art Gallery is looking for submissions for its upcoming exhibitions.

Another Conversation, to be curated by guest curator Lee Claremont, is about responding to a previous idea or opinion, said LCAG curator Wanda Lock.

“Whether the conversation is about an event, a political movement, a time in art history, post colonialism, feminism, gender equality, the environment or cats vs dogs; whether the conversation is a response to your art making process, about an event, a political movement, etc., this exhibition is open ended,” said Lock. “What do you feel deserves more consideration? What subject, question, debate or discussion do you feel needs further examination?”

Submissions for the Another Conversation will be accepted at the gallery March 30, 31 and April 1 from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m.

The gallery is also receiving submissions for its Art Through the Ages: Intergenerational Exhibition, which will be accepted at the gallery Feb. 23, 34 and 25. The exhibition runs from March 1 to April 1.
