Okanagan Landing Station House gallery opens for another season

The art is up on the walls at the little art gallery in Paddlewheel Hall

The Okanagan’s smallest gallery is about to open to a world of art.

The gallery, which is part of the Okanagan Landing Stationhouse Museum, is opening for its second year at Paddlewheel Hall this summer.

“This little gem will display 16-by-20-inch and smaller works painted by local Okanagan artists based on an Okanagan theme,” said Terri Heinrichs, one of the artists and a director with  the Okanagan Landing Community Association, which operates the museum/art gallery.

“The art will be very reasonably priced and a wonderful souvenir or thank you for all the special occasions happening this summer.”

The gallery opens this week during museum hours, and an artist will be in attendance starting July 9, on Saturdays and Sundays from 11 a.m. until 2 p.m., to the end of August.

“You will have the opportunity to visit the museum and view the wonderful model of Okanagan Landing as it was in the early years,” said Heinrichs.

Summer hours are Tuesday to Sunday, 11 a.m. to 4 p.m., and Mondays, 11 a.m. to 2 p.m.

The Okanagan Landing Stationhouse Museum and Art Gallery is located at 7801 Okanagan Landing Rd. More information is available at okanaganlanding.com or visit their page on Facebook.
