Ponderosa Music Festival Returns

The Ponderosa Music and Arts Festival is returning to Rock Creek.

Returning for its third year, the independent, three-day music festival will run from Aug. 21 to 23.

The weekend will feature musicians and artists hand picked by festival founders Kia Zahrabi and Kris Hargrave. The lineup is yet to be released but past years have hosted acts including Montreal’s Plants and Animals, Vancouver’s Jay Malinowski and the Deadcoast, Portland’s Blouse and Wampire as well as The Gay Nineties, Bend Sinister, No Sinner, Braids and Ladyhawk.

The festival is open to all ages.

Early bird three-day passes are $99 and go on sale in March. The passes include camping as well as access to hot showers, drinking water and swimming in the Kettle River.

The festival will also feature food and art vendors. An extra $25 can secure riverside camping with spots steps away from the river. Passes  will be $125 at full price with the option for riverside camping at $25 more.

If roughing it in a tent isn’t for you, there will be more glamorous camping options available as well.
