Korkscrew, a cover band who play top 40 rock hits from over the decades, is coming to Carly’s Lounge Saturday, May 28 at 9:30 p.m.
This four-piece band, from Nanaimo, have both female and male lead vocals, solid drums, bass drops and thick riffs. They have a repertoire of more than 60 top rock songs and have a reputation to play upbeat and fun sets.
Carly’s Lounge is located at 4963 Angus st.
On Sunday, June 12 the second annual School’s Out metal and rock show will be held at Gyro Youth Centre, 3245 Seventh Ave.
This show will feature one of Port Alberni’s rising metal bands, Forever Frost, the Vancouver-Island based As Ash Fell, Female Fronted Doom, who were formed in Port Alberni but are now based in Nanaimo and from Duncan, a new young rock band called the Windowlickers.
Tickets are $10 and doors will open at 5 p.m.
