Les Ellenor invites participants to share in key moments in Shakespeare’s histories and tragedies from 7 to 10 p.m. Friday, Nov. 4 at Okanagan College. Cost is $35 plus HST.
Opera
The Met: Live in HD presents Siegfried by Wagner at 9 a.m. Saturday, Nov. 5 at the Salmar Classic Theatre. Running time is six hours. Tickets are adults $24, youth $18.
Gallery jazz
SAGA Gallery Jazz Club features Gypsy swing band Gadjology, at 7 p.m. Thursday, Nov.10 at the gallery on Hudson Ave. Admission by donation.
Abe Zacharias
Christian country-western and gospel, singer-songwriter Abe Zacharias and band perform in a concert for the food bank at 7 p.m. Saturday Nov. 12 at First United Church. Award-winning country/gospel artist Dianne Wirtz and renowned singer-songwriter Billy Chernoff join the show.
Runaway Moon
Mark the dark season with Dream, Runaway Moon Theatre’s play for actors and puppets, at 7 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 12 at SAGA Public Art Gallery. Mainly for adults, but suitable for over-five-year-olds, Dream is a folk tale told with subversive humour and live mariachi music. Tickets at the door are $14 adults, $5 kids, $35 families.
Crafts and gifts
A Christmas Craft and Gift Fair will be held from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 12 at Elks Hall located at 3690-30th St. NE. Entry is by donation of a non-perishable item for the food bank. For more information, call Pat MacLeod at 250-835-8837.

Shuswap Seed Savers, Shuswap in Transition, and Shuswap Food Action Group present David Versus Monsanto, a documentary about Percy Schmeiser’s fight against the giant corporation, at 7 p.m. Sunday, Nov. 13 at the Salmar Classic. Admission by donation.
All about women
