An amazing lineup of Okanagan musicians will be performing on Tuesday for the Strings the Thing Faculty concert.
Okanagan Symphony Orchestra music director Rosemary Thomson will be joined by Calvin Dyck, Joel Stobbe, Elizabeth Lupton, John Suderman and Olivia Walsh. They will play the popular classics of Mozart, Boccherini, Leroy Anderson, guest composer Anita Perry and others.
Strings the Thing is a program run by the Okanagan School of the Arts for ages 12 and up and Strings the Thing Junior for ages 7 to 11 between July 8 and 12 for intermediate to advanced string players. Besides instruction, there is the faculty concert (July 9), barbecue and fiddling jamboree on Wednesday (July 10) evening and celebration student concert on Friday (July 12) afternoon.
