June 21 — Doug Towle’s De La Terra is taking Spanish guitar to new heights at the Dream Café.

June 26 — The Penticton Concert Band perform a free concert at the Oliver Community Stage bandshell from 6:30 to 8 p.m. with a variety of styles including classical, Irish music, rock classics, movie soundtracks and even some disco.

June 27 — Brent Tyler and Joshua Smith at the Dream Café.

June 27 — World champion fingerstyle guitarist Don Alder at Opus Cafe in Penticton. Tickets are $20 and available in advance at the Opus Cafe in the Cannery Trade Centre.

June 27 to 29 — Dustin McGifford and Annie Scott perform at the Barking Parrot Patio from 5:30 to 8 p.m.

June 28 — The Boom Booms, a funk/soul band, is performing at Tinhorn Creek Winery amphitheater at 7 p.m. Tickets are $30.

June 28 — Canada’s prairie balladeer Scott Cook at the Dream Café.

June 30 — Bob Bricker performs at the Barking Parrot Patio from 5:30 to 8 p.m.

July 1 ­— Bob Bricker, Joe’s Garage and Paul Gibbons play at the Barking Parrot patio on Canada Day.

July 3 — Nankama Drum & Dance at Music in The Park at the Kiwanis Stage at the Oliver Community Stage bandshell. West African rhythms and moves from 6:30 to 8 p.m.

July 4 — Sabrina Weeks and Swing Cat Bounce boogie blues band at the Dream Café.

July 4 and 5 — Paul Gibbons performs at the Barking Parrot Patio from 5:30 to 8 p.m.

July 5 — Wined it Up CD release party at the Firehall Brewery Back Alley Concert Series in Oliver. Featuring Tinhorn Creek Winery and artist Janet West. Picnic meals encouraged, no minors. Gates at 6:30 p.m., music at 7 p.m. Tickets pre-sold at Firehall Bistro for $12.

July 6 — The Penticton Concert Band perform a free concert at the Gyro Park Bandshell in Penticton from 7 to 9 p.m. with a variety of styles including classical, Irish music, rock classics, movie soundtracks and even some disco.

July 9 — Strings The Thing faculty recital at the Shatford Centre. Concert at 7:30 p.m. and tickets are $15 for adults and $5 for students.

July 9 — Front Porch, Up On Cripple Creek at the Dream Café.

July 10 — Anja jazz trio, led by Keremeos-born saxophonist Jonnie Bridgman, are playing at the Naramata Inn at the Cobblestone Wine Bar at the Naramata Heritage Inn. Reservations recommended. Show starts at 7 p.m.

July 11 and 12 — Barney Bentall travelling with Eric Reed at the Dream Café.

July 11 and 12 — Gord McLaren performs at the Barking Parrot Patio from 5:30 to 8 p.m.

July 17 — Anja jazz trio, led by Keremeos-born saxophonist Jonnie Bridgman, are playing at the Okanagan Crush Pad as part of their summer concert series. Concert is from 7 to 10 p.m. Tickets are $20 and includes a glass of wine.

July 17 — Aidan Mayes and Mandy Cole perform soulful folk and pop harmonies at the Oliver Community Stage bandshell 6:30 to 8 p.m.

July 25 — Rock Skool, a program run at the Shatford Centre, hosts a rock show on July 25 to show off the students hard work. Concert is from 1 to 4 p.m.

Nov. 27 — Legendary musician John Fogerty’s coast-to-coast Canadian tour stops in Penticton at the SOEC, celebrating 1969 – the extraordinary year John Fogerty wrote and produced three seminal albums with Creedence Clearwater Revival.

Until June 26 — Guest artist Bill Hutchinson is exhibiting wood carving and bronze sculptures at the Front Street Gallery. Open daily Monday to Saturday from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m.

June 27 — Guest artist Irene Gray showing pastels and oils of animals and landscapes at the Front Street Gallery from June 27 to July 10. Opening event on June 28 from 12:30 to 4 p.m. Gallery open daily, Monday to Saturday from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m.

June 28 — Stand up comedy at the Copper Mug Pub at 8:30 p.m. Sean Lecomber and Dave Merheje with Train Wreck Comedy. Tickets are $10.

July 3 — Follow the balloons to the Penticton Downtown Summer Art Walk from 5 to 7 p.m. Participating galleries include Front Street Gallery, Lloyds Gallery, Picture This Gallery, YGO Studio, Caroline’s Boutique, Kindrie Grove Studios and Tumbleweed Gallery.

July 3 to 26 — Many Hats Theatre Company presents a production of Ray Cooney’s Caught In The Net. Shows are Thursday, Friday and Saturday at 8 p.m. and Sunday matinees at 2 p.m. Tickets are $22/$19 at the Wine Country Visitor’s Centre or reserve by phone 250-276-2170.

July 5 — The Penticton Scottish Festival and Highland Games. One day family event featuring bagpiping, dancing, heavy events such as the caber toss, sheep dogs and entertainment all day long including the Celtic band Kinship. Play area for children as well.

July 5 — Penticton Art Gallery’s 37th annual fundraising auction Tastes of the Palette. Featuring live auction, two silent auctions, wines from the Naramata Bench, beer from Cannery Brewing, Penticton chef’s and restaurants creating unique hors D’oeurves and door prizes. Tickets are $55 and available at the art gallery.

July 11 — The third annual Party In The Park ant Kenyon Park in Okanagan Falls featuring 12 wineries, a barbecue buffet with Chef Instead and live music from UnCorked. Tickets are $50 (plus tax). July 11 to 12 — Oliver Sunshine Festival in Oliver Community Park includes a variety of live music, kids activities, a petting zoo, West Coast Amusements, food vendors, beverage garden and more. Parade July 12 at 10 a.m. in downtown Oliver.

July 12 — The Similkameen BBQ King Competition from 5 to 9 p.m. at the Grist Mill & Gardens in Keremeos. Live music by Ajna, paired wine and food from nine wineries and chefs. Tickets are $80 at any of the association wineries, the Keremeos Visitors Centre, by phone 250-488-0878 or online at SimilkameenWine.com.

July 26 — La Party Fantastique! An night to remember with glamour, fashion, wearable art, food and drink. Fundraising for SOVAS and the Penticton Art Gallery. Dress up, be creative and enjoy an evening of fashion by Tiger Alley And Heiress Salon and Boutique, food trucks and beverages. Tickets are $40 and includes complimentary drink. VIP ticket is $60 which includes admission and other benefits to support both SOVAS and the art gallery.

Aug. 3 — Custom truck and car show Jacked and Juiced presented by JCI Penticton and Boyd Autobody and glass at Skaha Lake Park starting at 10 a.m.

Aug. 6 to 10 — The 67th annual Penticton Peach Festival is four days of free, family fun including a parade, Aboriginal cultural village, skateboard/bmx competition, sandcastle competition, square dance festival and amusement park rides. Live entertainment in Okanagan Park including Emerson Drive, Trooper, The Stampeders, local acts, tribute artists and more.
