Theatre advice sought from women with war memories

New stage company preparing for upcoming production.

Actress-singer-director Wendy Bollard and her newly minted theatre group – 16th Ave. Productions – are seeking women in the community who remember the World War Two era to provide advice for the upcoming production of Waiting For The Parade, by Canadian playwright John Murrell.

The play relives civilian life in Calgary during World War Two through the eyes of five very different women, and Bollard said she would love to have women who lived through the war discuss their experiences with her cast.

Show dates for the play will be April 28 to May 7 at the Coast Capital Playhouse.
