Warm up to the sounds of ol’ Mexico

El Mariachi Los Dorados tours through the Okanagan-Shuswap in March, with shows in Kelowna, Vernon, Tappen, Armstrong, and Summerland.

Can’t fly to Mexico this spring break?  Armstrong promoter Ken Smedley has a solution with the return of Vancouver’s own acclaimed mariachi band.

El Mariachi  Los Dorados will tour through the Okanagan-Shuswap in March, with shows in Kelowna, Vernon, Tappen, Armstrong, and Summerland.

El Mariachi Los Dorados heralds the advent of spring with a brand new CD, entitled Si Tu Te Vas (If You’re Going to Go).

“The band brings a fiesta of music and culture from south of the border and ‘ol Mexico,” said Smedley, whose son Diego Kohl plays the guitarrón, a deep bodied six-string bass, in the band with Alex Alegria as band leader/vocalist.
