Wolves of the Yukon author at library

wolf biologist and Wolves of the Yukon author presents slide show tonight (Nov. 16)

The Cariboo Regional Library (CRL), in partnership with the North Central Library Federation, welcomes author and wolf biologist Bob Hayes to the 100 Mile House Branch Library to present his latest work, Wolves of the Yukon.

The presentation is at 7 p.m. tonight (Nov. 16) in the library program room at 440 Birch Ave.

Wolves of the Yukon, published in 2010, chronicles the natural history of the Yukon through the eyes of the wolf. It recognizes the wolf’s significance in the Yukon and its economic importance to the region in the 20th century.

The book raises questions concerning management of large carnivores, big game, and hunting in the 21st century and reflects on the use and conservation of one of the largest remaining tracts of complete wilderness on the continent.

This evening’s presentation will include a slide show, discussion and a book signing.
