The candidates in the 2016 Summerland Blossom Pageant will make their first appearance at the Festival of Lights on Friday evening.
Aleah Nesdoly
Miss Zias
My name is Aleah Nesdoly, I’m 16 years old and love to play volleyball.
When I’m not in school or working, I like to take photos.
Photography allows me to look at the world in angles not usually admired.
I like the freedom and expression of photography.
I would like to say a major thank you to my sponsor, Zias Stonehouse Restaurant.
Throughout the program I am eager to build on my public speaking skills, and meet new people.
Khush Saran

My name is Khush Saran.
I chose to participate in the Summerland Blossom Pageant because I feel that it is a very valuable experience, which I can learn a lot from.
I have been a candy striper for two years and I currently volunteer at the Dr. Andrew Pavilion here in Summerland.
I am a leadership student who actively plans and organizes school events.
My hobbies include reading, cooking, and travelling.
I also enjoy staying involved in both the school and the community.
After high school I plan to attend a post-secondary institution to obtain my Bachelor of Science degree and later pursue a career in optometry.
I would like to thank IGA for sponsoring me.
I’m glad that I have been given the opportunity to participate in the Blossom Pageant and I look forward to this upcoming year.

Hello, my name is Summer Scott and I am Miss Action Festival.
I love music, traveling, learning, and planning my future endeavours.
I have wanted and waited to be in the Summerland Blossom Pageant since I was about eight years old.
I love new opportunities and to be able to do this with the other amazing young ladies in the program is a privilege.
I am extremely excited to represent our town’s greatest event Action Fest!

My name is Sydnee Chick.
I would like to thank James and Katey for sponsoring me and giving me the honour of being the new Miss Summerset Massage Therapy.
In my free time I enjoy working, fishing, hunting, being with my family, singing, and skiing.
I am very excited to be part of the pageant program this year and look forward to making many new friends and learning great life lessons.

Hello! My name is Victoria Teo, and I am honoured to be the first Miss Shoppers Drug Mart.
Outside of school and the Blossom Pageant, I enjoy writing, acting, and singing.
I am involved with the school’s theatre production of Mary Poppins, where I play Mrs. Winifred Banks; the mother of the children.
I am excited to participate in the pageant, and I think that I will benefit from the experience for years to come.

My name is Chloe Collins and I decided to join the pageant because of the amazing opportunities it offers to improve my personal skills in so many areas as well as gaining important knowledge about my home town and the community in which I live.
I enjoy creative writing and drawing as well as other forms of art. I love the outdoors and being able to camp and hike in this beautiful area I am so lucky to live in.
Growing up I’ve participated in many groups and clubs such as gymnastics, dance, girl guides, the swim team, and horseback riding.
I’m incredibly excited to see all the doors this experience will open and where it takes me in life.
