If you’re still trying to figure out what to get Dad for Father’s Day, Caravan Farm Theatre has the solution.
On Sunday, the farm hosts a special Father’s Day farmers’ market with plenty of events for family members of all ages, and featuring fresh local produce, plants, artist-made goods, live music, wagon rides, a petting zoo and more.
There will be ready-to-eat foods that can be enjoyed at a picnic table, or bring a blanket and enjoy your lunch in the shade of a big tree.
“As an extra treat for Dad, we’ll have a giant cauldron set up in the field for a pitching competition,” said Lisa Mori, communications director for Caravan. “Anyone who can pitch their golf ball into the cauldron receives a free bag of world famous Caravan popcorn.
“We’ll provide golf balls and wedges, but Dad can bring his favourite club, if he likes.”
And this Sunday only, as part of the monthly market, Carvan will hold a costume and retro clothing sale.
“Caravan’s designery has recently undergone renovations, and we are now offering for sale a vast array of clothing and costumes for $1 to $3,” said Mori. “It’s an excellent opportunity to take home some unique vintage items as well as a little piece of Caravan history.”
Caravan Farm Theatre is a not-for-profit professional outdoor theatre company located on an 80-acre farm outside of Armstrong.
Caravan’s market day and costume sale takes place this Sunday from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. For more information, please visit www.caravanfarmtheatre.com
