Butcher Boys fundraises for Hospice

Chris Huculak

Butcher Boys hosts its fourth annual Chris Huculak Memorial Fundraiser for Hospice House Saturday from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m.

“Chris was a long-time employee who was very near and dear to everyone’s hearts. I worked with him for 37 years and he was here before that. We all really miss him. He was able to pass away at Hospice House,” said fundraiser organizer Judy Mallett.

“He received the finest in compassionate care and went on his way knowing that there was still plenty of love and caring in the world.”

The management and staff, with help from the BX Fire Department, will be serving up hot dogs, hamburgers, smokies, beef on a bun and beverages. There will be draws and a silent auction. Blanca, from Blanca Hairstyling, will be there to give haircuts for a donation and Carol, also from Blanca’s, will do manicures by donation. Charlene will do face painting for a donation to Hospice House. There will be music by local musicians during the day and a bake sale.

“Hospice House is a wonderful place and this is something we want to do in memory of Chris,” said Mallett.
