The Okanagan Centre for Spiritual Living welcomes everyone to an open house Saturday to explore a variety of workshops, all at no charge.
Workshops and classes include meditation at 10 a.m. Meditation is a powerful tool for personal transformation. Much like exercise, meditation has a cumulative effect, so ongoing practice is key.
At 11 a.m., it’s a Courting Love introductory mini workshop, based on the book A Return to Love by Marianne Williamson. This class is about walking through our fear to live lives that are God- directed, fulfilling and happy.
At 1 p.m., it’s Wing Chun Karate
Wing Chun is about the scientific understanding of the body. Originally developed by a woman, Wing Chun is designed to use the least amount of strength, time and movement as possible. This is not a flashy martial art, but one of simple practicality. You will focus on the principles of economy, sensitivity and presence.
Introduction to Prosperity Plus, by Mary Manin Morrissey, is at 2 p.m. This class is not just about money, rather it embraces every aspect of your life including relationships, health, creativity and money. This is an introduction to a 10-week series of classes which give you the tools to truly empower and transform your life so that you are living in a consciousness that knows prosperity as a state of being.
Introduction to Yoga is at 3 p.m. Explore inner connection through movement and breath with Melissa of Blue Eagle Yoga.
At 4 p.m., it’s “The Work” of Byron Katie. This is a basic introduction to a simple yet powerful process of inquiry that allows you to identify underlying limiting beliefs and question your own thinking about them. This results in a profound shift in inner consciousness and a deeper realization of just how our thoughts create our life experience and how we can change what is no longer working for us.
