Easter comes early

The Greater Vernon Museum & Archives is hosting its first Easter party and everyone's invited, April 12

The Greater Vernon Museum & Archives welcomes families to its first ever Easter Party.

Preparations are coming together for the party to be held April 12 from 1:30 p.m to 3:30 p.m.

“This event is perfect for those kids who just can’t wait another week for Easter,” said Jennifer Ng, event and education coordinator. “We have a number of fun crafts and games planned, plus a Golden Egg Hunt.”

All ages are welcome. Cost is $2 per child, parents are free! Parents are required to remain with their children for this event.

Please call the museum at 250-542-3142 to pre-register.

Museum staff have planned another fun event leading up to the Easter Party.

From April 8 to 11,  10 a.m. to 5 p.m., staff will be hiding an Easter bunny somewhere in the museum, moving it to a different location each day. Drop by the museum once or come by all four days to find the bunny; and with each successful find enter to win a prize (one entry per person per day).
