This weekend many Summerland residents will be heading south to take in the entertainments and events of the 68th Annual Peach Festival.
Our town has always been well represented in the Penticton parade as shown here in 1949 by this float decorated with gladiola flowers from Ernie Bennett’s world-famous fields on Paradise Flats.
It’s interesting to note that there’s a cow at the end of the rainbow on this float. We’re not sure why.
