The Thompson-Nicola Regional District has a series of free disposal days coming up throughout April, including several within the North Thompson Valley.
On free disposal days, residents may bring one free load per household to their local eco-depot or transfer station.
One load is defined as a maximum of one eight-foot pick-up truck box or one eight-foot trailer.
No business or commercial loads will be accepted for free.
The free disposal days at Regional District sites in the North Thompson are as follows:
Saturday, April 9
• Heffley Creek Eco-Depot, 8 a.m. –
4 p.m.
Sunday, April 10
• Black Pines Transfer Station, 9 a.m. –
1 p.m.
Saturday, April 23
• Clearwater Eco-Depot, 8 a.m. – 4 p.m.
Sunday, April 24
• Louis Creek Eco-Depot, 8 a.m. –
4 p.m.
• Agate Bay Transfer Station, 1 – 5 p.m.
• Blue River Eco-Depot, noon – 4 p.m.
• Vavenby TS, 9 a.m. – 5 p.m.
• Little Fort Transfer Station, noon – 4 p.m.
