SIDNEY — A local charity is presenting a unique fundraising event that will help you be happier and healthier while raising money for HeadWay Victoria Epilepsy and Parkinson’s Centre.
The HeadWay Health Fair takes place at the Mary Winspear Centre on Feb. 18 from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.
Find health information and businesses that offer fitness and health care support. The HeadWay Health Fair is open to everyone in the community who is interested in managing and maintaining good health. Admission by donation.
The Fair keynote speaker is Dr. Shelina Babul from the BC Children’s Hospital. Dr. Babul will be talking about concussions at 1 p.m. Come with your questions and get answers!
There are more than 50 exhibitors presenting products and services to create good health and manage your well-being.
Demonstrations include “Healthy Eating” prepared by Chef Michael Williams at 2:15 p.m., and fitness demonstrations by Island Mixed Martial Arts Training Center, Studio Fitness Victoria, V.I. Fitness Centres and Inner Warriors Yoga. Find the positive effects of fitness on your health.
There is free parking at the Mary Winspear Centre and fantastic door prizes may be yours.
