For the past four years, Chelsea Harris has been running the Sowilo Health and Wellness Center in Barriere, teaching Reiki, Reflexology and Holistic Bodywork.  Chelsea says she originally started the Center with her aunt, Linda Ewashina, but recently Linda has stepped away to write a book (her second) about meditation decks (cards).

Over the years, Chelsea has taken a variety of training: massage training, reflexology, and just this past winter, yoga training which she completed in Kamloops.

Three days a week Chelsea does Reiki, foot reflexology, and relaxation massage.  She also holds three yoga classes and one meditation class per week.  Besides holding the classes at the Center, she also travels to Chu Chua.

“I was born and raised in Barriere. I have a huge passion for health and wellness on all levels including emotional and spiritual wellness. This stems from my own struggles with anxiety that I have been able to work through with meditation, lifestyle changes, yoga and mindfulness training,” explained Chelsea, “My intention is to use the knowledge I have gained in my training and in my own personal journey to help and support others to make health and wellness a priority in their lives.”

Chelsea’s classes are for all ages.  You can drop in, or sign up for a set of classes.  You’ll find posters for many of her classes in the window of the Center, or for more information you can call her at 250-320-0270.   The Sowilo Health and Wellness Center is situated at: Unit 3, 4628 Barriere Town Road.
