As winter doesn’t dampen riders’ dreams of their favourite sport, the Kelowna & District Safety Council is organizing its 11th annual bus trip to the Vancouver Motorcycle Show at the Abbotsford TRADEX on Jan. 24.
Tickets are on sale now, with early bird pricing of $60 in effect until Dec. 31; after that the cost will be $65.
“This is a really popular event for us, and we’re already 60 per cent sold out,” said Tania Meyer, executive director of KDSC. “Riders from throughout the valley join us on the bus. Last year we sold out quite early and there were over 50 disappointed people who had to be turned away because it was too late for us to order another bus. We had a lot of people from the Vernon area join us last year as well.
“We have a second bus on hold this year, but we’d like to know soon if there will be enough demand for it. This is a great stocking stuffer or holiday gift idea for yourself or for the rider in your life.”
Pick-up and drop-off locations are scheduled for Rutland, Kelowna and West Kelowna, with departure times set for 6 a.m., 6:15 a.m. and 6:30 a.m. respectively. The bus will return to Kelowna by about 8:30 p.m. that same day, depending on the roads.
The buses being used are comfortable charter buses. The cost includes round-trip bus fare, admission to the show, drop off and quick entrance via the VIP door, movies en route, drink and snack on the way to the show, prizes and a KDSC tote bag for all of your event goodies. Motorcycle enthusiasts won’t want to miss this exciting opportunity to see everything that’s new for the upcoming riding season. There’s no need to battle winter driving conditions, simply hop the bus with KDSC.
The Vancouver Motorcycle Show is B.C.’s largest motorcycle event.
