The Horsey Ladies combine a love for all things equine with a desire to give back to the community.
To celebrate Christmas and the love of horses, the 15th Annual Horsey Ladies Christmas Banquet and Charity Auction takes place Nov. 16 at Spallumcheen Golf and Country Club. The fundraiser will once again host two auctions during the evening, with all proceeds going to a local charity that the gals vote on that evening.
“To date, more than $45,000 has been raised and given back to the community,” said Nancy Roman, with the group. “It makes for great pre-Christmas shopping for everyone on your list — and no taxes.”
The event is limited to 130 horsey gals and sells out — with a waiting list — every year. Advance tickets are $30, available at The Paddock Tack & Togs in Vernon, Country West Supply in Armstrong, and Touch A Texas in Salmon Arm, and includes a traditional Christmas buffet, including vegetarian options and a cash bar.
