Instructors invited to share creativity

SMARTIES drop-in family art program

Would you like to teach a SMARTIES session or two at Gallery Vertigo this fall?

“We are now booking SMARTIES sessions for October, November and December,” said Judith Jurica, executive director of Gallery Vertigo in downtown Vernon.

Both new instructors and returning instructors are welcome to apply to teach workshops at this drop-in family art program which runs Sundays from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m., with volunteer assistants on hand for each session.

It pays $40 per two- hour session. All arts activities are welcome, including visual arts, acting, dancing, singing, music and crafts.

Instructors are encouraged to contact the gallery as soon as possible to secure a date, as these opportunities fill up quickly.

To book your session, drop by the gallery to pick up a form, or one can be e-mailed to you. Please include your name, phone number, e-mail address and home address. And please include a little bit about yourself —an informal, brief biography.

As well, please list your related education and/or experience, and a picture of yourself.

Also needed is information on the proposed activity: the title and a brief description as well as a photograph of the activity.

Please reply to info@galleryvertigo.com or apowell@shaw.ca

For more information, please call Amber Powell at 250-503-2297 on Fridays.
