This year, the Kamloops Independent Short Shorts (KISS) Festival, which has historically taken place in the spring, will be part of the Kamloops Film Festival with screenings of locally produced short films on the big screen at the Paramount Theatre on Sunday, Mar. 8, at 1 p.m.
KISS 2015 will once again feature talented local filmmakers as they compete for various cash prizes. The only restrictions for submission are that the films must be suitable for all audiences, under five minutes in length, and submitted with an entry form before Mar. 6, 2015.
Entry forms are available on the KISS website at http://www.kissfest.ca/.
As well, those needing financial help to complete their film may be eligible for one of two grants made available by longtime KFF and KISS sponsor, the Thompson-Nicola Film Commission. See their Facebook page for more information: https://www.facebook.com/thompson.nicola.film.commission.
The KFF has always presented the previous year’s KISS winners before full-length screenings at the Paramount Theatre.
Aspiring filmmakers are encouraged to complete and submit a film so they can see your work on the big screen.
Organizers say, “We are looking forward to what we know will be a strong display of local talent.”
