Organizers of Cedar Bridge Farm School (CBFS) summer camps hope kids will go home with happy memories of “what I did this summer.”
CBFS is offering a variety of week-long day camps with different themes that organizers hope will have kids talking for months.
The programs are designed to get kids participating, and there is something for everyone: farm and garden activities, games and yoga, children’s theatre, teepee building and much more. Activities are designed to keep the kids moving, thinking and having fun.
The day camps feature week-long programs for children aged six to 12 and run until the end of August. In the natural surroundings of the farm, forest and creek, the children learn, play, create and have fun in this back-to-nature, country get-away.
For more information on programs and for registration, call the school at 250-547-9212 or see the website at www.cedarbridgeschool.org.
Cedar Bridge Farm School’s regular programs are taking registration as well:
Parent and Child is for children up to three years of age; a two-hour morning introduction to the rhythms and seasonal celebrations of the Kinderhouse.
Parent and Child is an opportunity to meet other families and takes place Fridays from 9:30 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. Yearly program consists of a 12-week fall session, 10-week winter session, and 12-week spring session.
Preschool/Kindergarten is a mixed age program for parents and their children aged three to six. Weekly rhythm includes painting, baking, nature walks through the forest and grounds, and visits to the nearby farm. The children’s senses and imagination are enlivened, their will and memory strengthened, and their attention and fine motor skills enhanced in preparation for the grade school years to come.
Spaces are available in the three or four day kindergarten age program, which runs from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m.
Homeschool Grades 2, 3 and 5: Rigorous academics enlivened by fine and practical arts, languages, music and drama. This is a welcome community of parents, teachers and children who share and value nature, inner growth, and human connection.
