The Buttle Lake campground in Strathcona Provincial Park is a full service campground that can serve as a base to explore British Columbia’s first provincial park (which is celebrating its 100th anniversary next year).
Buttle Lake campground offers 85 vehicle accessible campsites set in a second-growth Douglas fir forest. Buttle Lake has a developed sandy beach; some sites are located right on the lakeshore. Campsite reservations are accepted and first-come, first-serve sites are also available.
From Buttle Lake campground you can access the hiking trails in the Buttle Lake Corridor that range from easy nature walks to backcountry multi-day hikes. The lake has boat-access marine campsites and extensive fishing.
