Learn to ride a motorcycle

Kelowna & District Safety Council offers learn-to-ride courses for motorcyclists

If learning to ride is one of your goals for 2014, or if you’ve been wondering if motorcycling is for you, attend the Kelowna & District Safety Council’s motorcycle training program information session on Thursday from 7 p.m. to 9 p.m. at the People Place in Vernon (3402-27th Ave.) and find out.

As one of the largest and longest-running ICBC-certified motorcycle training facilities in B.C., KDSC has been a provincial leader in professional rider training since 1980. In order to make training more available to residents of the North Okanagan, KDSC is again bringing its Learn to Ride program to Vernon this spring.

This free session will start with an informal presentation about the ICBC licensing process, tips for passing the motorcycle learner’s permit test (ICBC reports a 46 per cent failure rate), and an overview of KDSC’s Learn to Ride Program. KDSC staff and instructors will be on hand to answer all your questions. Coffee and snacks will be available.

An RSVP is appreciated by calling KDSC toll-free at 1-888-580-7233 or by registering online at the Motorcycle Workshop & Events page of KDSC’s website at www.kdsc.bc.ca.

Another session will be held in Kelowna on March 12.
