Library is offering limited service

Vernon library is still working on getting back to regular hours following this week's flood

The Vernon library will continue to operate under modified hours with limited services in the next week.

The branch foyer will be open to the public for book returns and holds pick-up only.

Hours will be as follows:

Today: noon until 4 p.m.

Monday: 9:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m.

Tuesday: 9:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m.

Wednesday: 9:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m.

Thursday: 9:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m.

Friday: 9:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m.

Saturday: 9:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m.

Feb. 23: noon until 4 p.m.

If you receive a call that you have a hold ready for pickup, please wait two days before going to the branch to allow time for transit.

The library was forced to close Tuesday after a pipe burst Monday, sending water throughout the main floor. Restoration continues and it is not known when the branch will reopen fully to the public.

All programs are cancelled up to and including Feb. 23.

“The ORL is committed to mitigating the inconvenience for patrons as much as possible during the restoration period,” said Michele Rule, communications manager, Okanagan Regional Library.
