This past Saturday was filled with moments that once again served me with reminders of why I live in and absolutely love this community.
Halloween Family Fun Night was just awesome. Children were everywhere squealing with delight, dressed up and having tons of fun. Parents, grandparents, caregivers, adults and teens all joined in the spirit of the evening.
There was incredible support from sponsors; The Town of Princeton, Copper Mountain Mining Operations Ltd., Princeton Crisis Assistance Society, Princeton Weyerhaeuser, Princeton Rotary, RDOS – Brad Hope, Area H Director, Princeton Ground Search and Rescue, Cooper’s Foods and Princeton Loonie Bin & Bakery (Dawn Kastor).
The support from our emergency services; Princeton RCMP, Princeton Volunteer Fire Brigade, BC Ambulance Service and the Princeton Extrication Society (Highway Rescue) was wonderful.
The hard work and dedication from all the volunteers who brought the evening to the community was more than top-notch.
People doing wonderful things together and for each other—just kind of makes things flow nicely. Funny how that works…
Many people deserve thanks and much appreciation for this evening as well as those hosting all other events in our community do.
At this time though, I’d like to give special appreciation to two gentlemen who have given countless hours of their time to the Exhibition grounds this year. Doug and Jim Bernard have volunteered their time before, during and after every event held. Repair and maintenance, preparation and clean up, building, painting and working the concession. Thank you to you both. Thank you as well to Terry Inglis, who keeps coming out of retirement to help.
