Quilt raffled to help library

A quilt at the entrance to the Summerland branch of the Okanagan Regional Library will be raffled as a fundraising initiative.

A quilt at the entrance to the Summerland branch of the Okanagan Regional Library will be raffled as a fundraising initiative.

The handmade quilt was crafted by Brandy Maslowski, Eileen Zornes and Kristin Link.

Maslowski, a fabric artist, is also the author of Kristi’s Quilt, a children’s story about quilting. The book was promoted and is featured at the library.

She said the quilt raffle is a way for her to show her support to the library. “The library has supported me so much. I wanted to give back.”

The quilt will be raffled later this year, with all proceeds going to the Friends of the Summerland Library. Tickets are available by donation at the library.
