Senior Bikram yoga teacher Jim Kallett will be visiting Vernon this week, and North Okanagan residents are encouraged to take advantage of his vast knowledge and experience.
Kallett has been a faculty member at the world famous Bikram Yoga Teacher Training sessions for more than 15 years and is a director and instructor at Bikram’s Yoga College of India in San Diego, Calif.
On Friday, Kallett will provide a lecture open to the public from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. at Bikram Yoga Vernon, at a cost of $5 per person.
“The lecture will be about the philosophy, history and ideas of yoga, what yoga is, how it works, why everyone has to do it, and how Bikram yoga is unique,” said Dionne Kopeck, owner/director of the Vernon studio, which offers daily classes in “the original hot yoga.”
On Saturday, Kallett will provide a full day posture clinic at Bikram Yoga Vernon for beginning, intermediate and advanced students. Space is limited, and preregistration required.
