RN discusses eating disorders

A mother talks about her family’s experience getting treatment and support for her daughter’s anxiety and eating disorder in Mental Illness: A Family’s Journey of Hope.

The speaker, Cathy Robinson, is a registered nurse with a master’s degree in nursing and is currently completing a doctoral degree in education. She is a nursing instructor at UBCO and is also a pediatric nurse with extensive experience in caring for adolescents with eating disorders. Robinson is the author of a book, A Melody of Hope: Surviving Your Daughter’s Eating Disorder.

The presentation takes place March 15 from 7 to 8:30 p.m. at the Schubert Centre. It is free and no registration is required. The event is presented by Mental Illness Family Support Centre BC Schizophrenia Society — Vernon.
